The Skin Cancer Doctor is a network of highly skilled Skin Cancer Physicians that provides tailor-made on-site skin cancer clinics that can both diagnose and treat skin cancer.
We offer a complete start to finish service of skin cancer prevention, detection and management.
Our job is to assist communities and corporations all over Australia by setting Skin Cancer Clinics and providing skin checks and treatment.
Having a skin check can help to prevent skin cancer.
….Alright, you have heard that before. But what you might have never been told is that skin checks are not only prevention practices. Regular checks can help identify skin cancers in their earliest stages, in particular, melanoma which can be life-threatening. Our doctors at The Skin Cancer Doctor can help to detect any signs and proceed to treatment right away!
PREVENTION = CHECK + TREATMENT = TFSCD |
WHY ARE REGULAR SKIN CANCER CHECKS VITAL?
Prevention can be named as the first reason to have skin checks, especially if you live or work in a high risk area.
Australia, alongside its New Zealand neighbour, already has the highest rate of skin cancer in the world – 2/3 of all Australians will have been diagnosed with some form of skin cancer by the time they are 70 – and the incidence is expected to continually rise, according to the Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change Report.
This is primarily due to climate change impacts. Skin damage by ultraviolet radiation (UVR), accounts for at least 95% of all skin cancers in Australia. With increasing ambient temperatures induced by climate change, skin cancer risk is compounded by changing behaviours, such as more time outdoors.
Having a simple skin check with the Skin Cancer Doctor can save your life.
How? By booking a clinic for skin checks you can have an early diagnosis of skin cancer which highly increases the chances of successful treatment. If necessary, our doctors would proceed to treat with or without surgical intervention.
“So far, The Skin Cancer Doctor services have helped a number of patients being able to have their skin cancer treated ‘just in time’.”
OUR MISSION:
To reach patients at high risk of developing skin cancer. No matter how remote you live, The Skin Cancer Doctor can help you and your community.
For the first time, there is an option to deliver onsite surgical management of skin cancer at the time of detection. Either in a community setting or a corporate/workplace environment, TFSCD’s Clinics can deliver all over Australia full comprehensive diagnostic and treatment services on location on the day. No matter the logistics, we’ll help your program run smoothly.
The Skin Cancer Doctor focuses on patients with long sun-exposure habits or jobs. Mining, construction, agriculture workers, outdoor sports enthusiasts, as well as rural farming communities, coastal communities, among others, are more likely to account the highest risks of damage by UVR that can result in skin cancer.
Outline of how we will conduct our clinics:

– Clinic days to be held at a suitable premise
– At the clinic, the patient will be taken through to a private visual and dermatoscopic full body skin check by our experiences skin cancer doctor, and offered advice and educational material to take home outlining signs to watch out for when monitoring their own skin in between checks.”
– If any suspicious lesions are found, with the patient’s consent, the lesion will be biopsied or surgically removed, either at the time or at an allotted time later in the day or the next day
– After the clinic, feedback, education and a de-identified report can be provided to the employer/community health director and to patients after their skin checks or procedures
